MCP documentation
Connect Codex, Claude Code, or another compatible assistant to your SCNZ account. Set up channels, write scripts, and produce videos through conversation.
You need a SCNZ account and an installed MCP client. Your existing channel permissions and SCNZ credits apply.
1. Connect your client
Choose the instructions for your assistant. You only need to add SCNZ once in each client.
2. Sign in and choose access
- In the browser, sign in with your existing SCNZ account using an available sign-in method. Complete two-factor authentication if enabled.
- Select the channels this assistant can access and the permissions it needs.
- Approve the connection, then return to your assistant. If the tools do not appear immediately, start a new client session.
Sign in on the SCNZ page. Do not paste passwords, provider keys, or YouTube credentials into chat.
3. Ask SCNZ to help
In Codex, do not type /scnz. SCNZ provides tools rather than a slash-command menu. Type /mcp to confirm that SCNZ is connected, then return to the normal chat box and describe the channel change you want.
For example: “Show my SCNZ channels, then update the Main channel target audience to beginner gardeners. Show me the proposed change before saving it.”
Start by asking what is available, then describe the result you want. These prompts work in your connected assistant:
Channel setup includes strategy, presenter, sources and references, mascot, visual identity, writing and research rules, storyboard rules, narration, and production defaults. A broad setup request fills every safely inferable field and proposes the visual-generation quote by default; paid generation still waits for your maximum credit approval. Team sharing and YouTube connection setup require their own permissions. YouTube publishing, credit purchases, and channel deletion are not available through MCP.
Stay in control
Approve paid work. Your assistant gets a quote before starting a paid workflow. Review the estimate and approve a maximum credit budget. Changed content, changed settings, or an expired quote require a fresh quote.
Follow progress. Ask for the workflow status or cancel work you no longer need. Keep the run ID so you can check progress after reconnecting. Retries need a fresh quote and preserve completed outputs.
Review and disconnect. Open Settings → Integrations · MCP to see granted permissions, selected channel counts, and recent activity. Select Disconnect to revoke access and cancel pending runs. Completed content remains in SCNZ.
